1. What is your reaction to receiving the news that Alpha AR is the winner of Spotlight 2021?
Hi, everyone! My name is Madis. I’m the co-founder and CEO of Alpha AR, where we are building a powerful AI to make 3D easy and scalable. It’s a bit overwhelming because everything happened so fast. So we are still a bit surprised and speechless in terms of that. But we are super honored, super happy about that. It’s great to see that the jury and all the people in the Spotlight are huge believers in 3D, AR and especially in the Metaverse, in general. So it’s super great to see this, and definitely congrats to all the finalists as well.
2. How was the Spotlight program experience for your team?
It was great. I would say it was super, super interesting to meet all the new people. I mean, we definitely gained a lot of new, interesting contacts. Thanks to that, we also hired yesterday one of our additional 3D specialists from Romania actually. And I mean, all the contacts and mentors were super helpful in terms of everything. So it’s been great – big thumbs up to everyone.
All those mentors sessions, I would say that during those mentoring sessions, it was great to see that maybe if you’re focusing so much on a daily basis, building your company, it’s always great to share some ideas with mentors who can ask some kind of questions, maybe you’re not focusing that much on a daily basis. So this was definitely helpful here on our side. So I would say definitely just looking into some specific processes, in general, was super helpful.
3. What are your plans for the investment prize?
It’s interesting, because, actually, we are currently in the middle of our fundraising. So we have already had our lead investor and the round seems to be a bit oversubscribed. So it’s going to be an interesting topic for us internally. So maybe we have to increase our investment round a bit. So let’s see, it’s something that I have to discuss internally.
4. What should people know about your company?
The vision what we are currently going after is that we are trying to make 3D easy and scalable, and I mean we have been working on it for the past two or three years already and we are working on it as long as the 3D will be as automatic as possible on our side. So we will like to be the leaders in Metaverse section who will help to digitalize the content for Mobilemag especially.
